Designer pays ode to Rajasthani culture with new line

Bengaluru: Hyderabad-based designer Sailesh Singhania will exhibit here his new collection titled ‘Thakurayan’, showcasing the vastness and depth of Rajasthan.

The exhibition will be held here from July 13-15.

‘Thakurayan’ comprises of Kora kanjeevarams, paithani lehenga and organza saris with a harmonious blend of colours, fabric and embroideries, read a statement issued on behalf of the designer.

Singhania has played with colours like pink, yellow, purple and green with intricate golden zari work.

“I have tried to incorporate tradition with modern sensibilities to create contemporary saris, emphasising on global style with a hint of luxury to it,” Singhania said.

“As varied as fashion is, each woman’s choice is not just limited to the ongoing trends and new styles, but also includes how she feels that day. Keeping this in mind, our collection houses different drapes, style and weaves to meet every mood, whim and fancy of our modern day,” he added.
