Deserving new entrants to get Sena tickets for Assembly polls

Thane, August 22: Shiv Sena will give tickets to deserving new entrants to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections in the state, party Executive president Uddhav Thackeray said today.

Thackeray was talking to mediapersons at the Ram Ganesh Gadkari Rangayatan here tonight where he had come to inaugurate four major projects of the Thane Municipal Corporation.

The main plank for the election will be the soaring prices and “as the electioneering progresses you will come to know about our issues,” he said while answering a query.

The seat distribution between the Sena and BJP will be known in the coming days, he said and added that he was confident that the saffron combine was sure to come to power.

Earlier, he inaugurated the Rs 36 crores SATIS project of the Thane city and also the 110 MLD Water supply scheme besides the civic library and a nature park.

At the upper deck of the project Uddhav flagged off the first TMT bus which proceeded to Lokmanya Nagar.

The water supply scheme was inaugurated by Uddhav by pressing a button by remote and the entire audience rejoiced when the plaque was unveiled and water gushed out from the mega pipes into Thane city. .
