Hyderabad, March 23: Alleging that director-general of police (DGP) K Aravinda Rao, Hyderabad police commissioner A K Khan and deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Central Zone, Akun Sabharwal were responsible for the desecration of statues on Tank Bund, representatives of Telangana Advocates’ JAC lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Nagar police on Tuesday.
According to Gandhi Nagar inspector S Sudhakar, a complaint was lodged by the advocates against these officials and they were seeking legal advice to proceed further.
Meanwhile, special teams of CCS and Task Force began picking up people who participated in the ‘Million March’ from various districts. According to sources, S Venu, TRSV Karimnagar district president, was picked up by the city police from his house in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
