Hyderabad, March 24: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau have unearthed assets worth Rs. 94 lakh after searches of the house and other premises of P. Shukla Kumar, a Deputy Tahsildar of Moinabad mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
A press release said the assets included four flats in and around the State capital, an unfinished apartment in Saroornagar, a building in Turkayamjal, two house plots at Almasguda village and Peddashapur, agricultural land of three acres and six guntas at Nandi Vanaparthi village of Yacharam mandal, two cars, a motorcycle, 7.5 tolas of gold jewels, Rs. 1.54 lakh cash and household articles worth Rs. two lakh. Mr. Kumar was being arrested and is to be produced in Court.
In another case, the ACB unearthed Rs. 40 lakh worth of assets from the residence and those of the relatives of S. Venkata Srinivas Reddy (49), a Deputy Forest Range Officer, Nakrekal. They included two buildings and three house plots, gold weighing 250 grams and half a kilo of silver, postal and other bonds worth Rs. 50,000, two motorcycles and household articles worth Rs. three lakh. He was being arrested and produced before Court at Vijayawada, a release added.
Mohd. Yakub Pasha (33), Mandal Revenue Inspector, Kanijerla mandal of Khammam district on Tuesday evening was caught as he was accepting Rs. 35,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour .
