(Siasat News) American Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Ashton B. Carter reached Hyderabad. He is on a ten day visit to Asia Pacific Region. His present tour is linked to the visit of U.S. Defence Minister’s visit of New Delhi last month. At that time, Defence Minister of America had made a statement that America desires a long term strategic partnership in Defence areas with India. Immediately after his visit, Mr. Carter met the officials of Indian Defence production industry and discussed the ways and means to barriers of red-tapeism in American bureaucracy. Later, he discussed about the centres of production of transport planes and helicopters which are proposed to be setup with Indo-American collaboration. He informed that America is bound to explore new ways in Defence trade with India. These include Indo-American Defence production, transfer of technology, co-production and research in Defence related industry etc.
