For the first time after the formation of Telangana State, the budget for the Dept. of Minorities Welfare has been released. Dr. T. Radha, Principal Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare issued 8 G.Os releasing Rs.43, 31, 00, 000. As per G.O.Rt.no 8 Rs. 4, 81, 25, 000 has been sanctioned for Minorities residential hostels and Schools for the year 2014-15. Under G.O.Rt. 7 for the construction of Urdu Ghar, Marriage Halls, Hajj Committee, Center for Educational Development of Minorities (OU) and Survey Commissioner of Wakf get Rs.3, 86, 39, 000. State Hajj Committee gets Rs.27, 57, 000 whereas CEDEM gets Rs. 40, 50, 000. Under G.O.Rt. a grant of Rs. 25, 35, 89, 000 has been allotted for Dairatul-maarif, OU, Urdu Academy, Minorities Marriages and Bank Subsidies. Out of this amounts Dairatul-maarif gets Rs.7, 13, 30, 000. Urdu Academy gets Rs.1, 64, 24, 000.
