Vishwa Hindu Parishath International president G. Raghava Reddy has demanded that the Centre immediately send back Bangladeshis from Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. He also demanded that the Centre cancel Vote Right and other facilities to the illegal migrants from the neighboring country.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, Raghava Reddy alleged that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi were responsible for violent incidents in Kokrajhar, Baska and Chirang districts of Assam. Alleging that Tarun Gogoi has miserably failed to check violence, he demanded that the Prime Minister, Assam Chief Minister and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who were responsible for the violence, apologize to the tribals and people of the country. He demanded that the Centre erect fencing on Indo- Bangladesh border to stop the influx from Bangladesh.
He demanded that the Assam government immediately pay Rs seven lakh compensation to the kin of those killed in the violence. The government should adopt the orphaned children.
Raghava Reddy threatened to launch agitation from July 30 if the Centre failed to check violence in Assam within 48 hours.
