Dependability, morality are my two eyes: Jagan

YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that trustworthiness and moral values were his two eyes.

In an emotional speech after hoisting his party flag at his central office on the occasion of the YSR Congress completing one year of existence, Jagan said moral values and trustworthiness were responsible for leading his party ahead. He said that he would never be able to forget the support the people had extended to him during his trying days. He also said that he himself had prevented Congress MLAs from following him, when he quit the Congress party. Jagan said that he has been getting overwhelming support from the farmers, students and the poor in his fight on their problems for the past one year. He said that he would fight for these sections in future also.
Stating that there was need to cleanse the political system, Jagan said when he left the Congress party, several told him that it was suicidal.

He claimed that on the other hand, he got unstinted support from the people after leaving the ruling party. He vowed that he would stand by the people, unmindful of whatever others might choose to say about him. “How you lived is more important than how long you have lived”, Jagan said amid thunderous applaud from his party men.

Meanwhile, YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma hoisted the party flag at the YSR stadium in Pulivendula, of Kadapa district. (NSS)
