All departments ailing under TRS rule: Ponnala

Alleging that all departments were weakened under the TRS rule, Congress leader and former minister Ponnala Laxmaiah wondered that the Health department officials failed to respond on the news of patients facing hardships in one hospital or in other everyday.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Ponnala said patients were dying in Sarojini Devi, Niloufer and Gandhi Hospitals due to scant facilities and lack of medical equipment. He stressed the need for the government to open its eyes at least now and concentrate on improving the “health” of the Health department. He also asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao whether he was ready to examine the facilities in government hospitals in his Gajwel constituency. (NSS)
