Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari today directed District Education Officers and officials of Education department to work up to the government’s expectations.
The Deputy Chief Minister conducted a meeting of DEOs and officials of Education department at Sarva Shiksha Abhiayan here. Speaking on the occasion, Srihari exhorted the officials to see that the government schools and institutions make efforts for better education standards and quality of teaching. He also discussed about government priorities and instructed them to stick to norms and focus on achieving better results than previous years besides increasing attendance of students and avoid dropout problem.
The State government will provide all facilities and equipment and fill vacant post in the schools to surpass the private and corporate schools, he said. He spoke on Badi Bata scheme, school uniforms, toilets and other facilities to encourage the students join the government schools. (NSS)
