Ghaziabad: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) today staged a protest at Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam office, alleging that the civic body and health department have failed to control spread of dengue.
RLD city president Ramanad Goel said the rally was against the civic body’s failure to tackle dengue cases.
Addressing the party workers, RLD national secretary Chakrapaani Yadav said that the municipal corporation could not provide relief to the masses, and ramshackle roads are the glaring example of apathy and negligent attitude of the civic body.
The sanitation condition is very poor in the city, and streets are full of mud and filthy water, a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Several people have died due to dengue in the district, he claimed.
He alleged that fogging drives are confined to papers only. Private hospitals are fully packed by dengue patients as government hospital is not paying proper attention towards their treatment, Yadav said.
