Hyderabad: The anger of people affected by the demonetisation is revealing. An account holder, who arrived at the bank to complain that his amount was gobbled up by an online fraudster, beat the manager.
According to sources an account holder of State Bank of Hyderabad, Nayapul branch approached bank manger D Surya Prakash on Friday and complained regarding deduction from his bank balance due to online fraud to the tune of Rs. 25000. But the bank manager told Saleem that he could do nothing in this connection. He advised Saleem to lodge complaint with Cyber Crime Police.
Worried over the deduction of amount from his account, Mohammed Saleem allegedly argued with the bank manager. Both had heated arguments following which Mohammed Saleem’s brothers Mohammed Abdullah and Mohammed Ahmed assaulted Bank Manager. The incident sparked tension at the bank. Bank staff called Mir Chowk police who arrested the trio and shifted to police station. They were booked under various sections of IPC and produced before the court.
It must be noted that people forced to stand in queues post demonetisation are feeling agitated which is revealed through their behaviour.
