WASHINGTON: American singer Demi Lovato was spotted for the first time following her almost-fatal drug overdose in July.
Lovato looked relaxed and happy during her day out of rehab centre on Sunday. Donning an olive-green shirt and black leggings paired with white sneakers and a black cap, the ‘Sorry not Sorry’ singer was seen chatting with a lady with a black puppy, TMZ reported.
This pleasant sight came just a day before the two-month mark of her OD. She suffered an overdose on July 24th.
The singer was recently seen with her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, who reportedly visits her at rehabilitation centre regularly. Wilmer has made it a point to fly down and be with her girlfriend during the visiting days authorised by the facility.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Dianna de la Garza, Lovato’s mother, had finally broken her silence over her daughter’s drug overdose and said she shakes a little bit remembering what happened that day.
“I just feel like the reason she’s alive today is because of the millions of prayers that went up that day when everybody found out what was happening,” she had said.
The 26-year-old singer has always been open about her struggles with drug addiction. She gave her fans a sneak peek of her life in her documentary- ‘Simply Complicated’. She also opened up about her addiction to drugs in her single ‘Sober’, which was released in June.
