Hyderabad, January 29: General Secretary of Minorities Educational, Social and Cultural Organisation of Telangana Mr. Mohammed Nizamuddin demanded the Prime Minister to notify the exact population of the Muslims in India. He said that Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s claim that the Muslims are 13.4% in the country is not true. In the census operations, the population of the Muslims has not been enumerated properly. The staff of census department has been lethargic in registering the correct population of the Muslims in India.
He impressed upon the need to specify the correct population of the Muslims so that various schemes and Welfare programmes for the Muslims could be implemented properly.
