Hyderabad, April 10: While on one side communal forces are trying to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city, secular parties and organizations on the other hand are trying to restore peace in the city. A delegation of more than 20 civil society organizations including Sarvodaya International Trust, the Andhra Pradesh Chapter, Apna watan, Ham sub Hindustani, Aman Vedika, Saathi, Help Hyderabad, COVA, Waqf Protection and Minorities Society, Soofi academy, Forum for Better Hyderabad, Deccan Waqf Protection Society and Social Welfare Society, visited incharge commissioner Hyderabad Anurag Sharma, and submitted a written memorandum in which declaring the recent communal riots as part of the political game plan, said that the said riot is not associated with any religion. A particular political party is trying to implement a hidden agenda through communal riots. Especially in view of the proposed state elections in 2014, the political game plan is being played so that by spreading hatred against a particular community they can attain their objectives.
The delegation of social workers stated in the memorandum that it was a nefarious effort to take political mileage through miscreants called from outside the city.
In the memorandum the delegation urged the government and the police to rein in such elements who are trying to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
The delegation appealed to ban persons like Praveen Togadia who are invited to incite religious passion aggressively and to discourage people of other religions.
Incharge DGP assured to implement the recommendations of the memorandum submitted by the delegation.
