A delegation led by deputy mayor Hyderabad G Rajkumar, T Srinivas Reddy son of MLA Musheerabad T Manima and Bholakpur ward corporator S Mohammad Wajid Husain called on state Home minister Mrs. Sabita Indira Reddy at her residence and submitted a detailed memorandum demanding quashing of cases against the innocent Muslim youth held during Hanuman Jayanthi in 2010 at Musheerabad assembly constituency.
The memorandum stated that the Muslim and Hindu youth who were arrested registered under false cases were students of M.Tech, graduation, intermediate and SSC and were busy in their annual exams preparation and others belonged to serious and respectable families and were busy in their businesses. They were unnecessarily arrested and because of which their future has become dark and their family members are suffering from mental trauma.
Mr. S Mohammad Wajid relating the details told that recently an innocent Muslim youth resorted to suicide because of continuous police harassment.
Home minister Mr. Sabita Indira Reddy assured the delegation that every possible effort will be taken to quash the cases after complete investigation.
