All India Lawyers’ Union, Bagh Lingampally in a press statement has invited the attention of the Govt. of A.P. to fill up the vacancies of the judges in various courts. It pointed out that against 895 posts of judges only 623 judges are working in A.P. High Court, as against 49 vacancies only 26 judges are functioning. It further mentioned that many civil and criminal cases are pending in various courts for a long time and the number of cases is increasing day by day.
The present strength of the judges is inadequate to dispose of the long pending cases. It is, therefore, necessary to fill up the vacant posts of judges so that public could feel relief. The Lawyers’ Union has demanded to enhance the number of judges also.
