Demand to enact Muslim reservations in Parliament

It is essential for the Congress Party to provide reservations to Muslims if it wants to come back to power. The progress the Muslims is possible only by implementation of Sachar Committee’s report.

These thoughts were expressed by Mr. T. Jeevan Reddy, former Minister while addressing a gathering at Madina Functional Hall, in Jagtiyal organized to felicitate Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbeer on his election to AP Legislative Council recently.

The function was arranged by Minority Welfare Association. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbeer told that whenever the Muslims extended their support, Congress got power and when they withdrew their support, Congress lost its power.

It is imperative for Congress party to take necessary steps for the development of the Muslims on a part with the other communities. He demanded the Govt. to provide 4% reservation to the Muslims in AP State and also in the center.

He criticized the UPA Govt. and said that it did not do anything for the development of the Muslims during the past four years. He also demanded to enact a legislation in the Parliament soon.
