Demand to ban activities of Communal elements that are stopping transportation of big animals

A delegation of Soofi Academy and Sunni Ulema Board met the Addl. DGP and presented a written memorandum demanding to take stern action against the communal elements that are stopping the transportation of big animals at the check posts. The members of the delegation informed the Addl. DGP that the Muslims are not slaughtering cows, despite this some miscreants are seizing the lorries carrying bullocks and buffalos. They are also snatching cell phones and money. Such incidents are dangerous. They are disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of the city.

Addl. DGP told that the Muslims have a right to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in a peaceful manner and police is alert on this occasion. He assured that police will take stern action against those who are stopping the vehicles carrying big animals. The delegation was led by Maulana Hamid Husain Shuttari, Acting President of Sunni Ulema Board and Maulana Syed Tariq Quadri, Chairman of HAS INDIA.
