Muslims of Sanathnagar are demanding for the allotment of land at Begumpet for their Graveyard. These Muslims approached Mr. M.Shashidhar Reddy, MLA of Sanathnagar to recommend to the Govt. for allocating for allocating land behind Hyderabad Public School for Muslim Graveyard. Since elections were to be held in 2004, Mr. Shashidhar Reddy promised the local Muslim to get land allotment done but after the election he forget his promise. Vexed with this, the local Muslims formed a committee by name Tahreek Muslim Khabarastan committee and started struggle. They contacted the ruling party for the allotment of land. They also represented the matter to MRO but nothing has happened so far. In the next election also Mr. M.Shashidhar Reddy needed Muslim votes and he promised again. When he was elected in the election of 2009 again he forget his promise. When Mr. Reddy came to Begumpet to attend a Govt. program, the Muslims of the area gheraoed him. District Administration of Hyderabad and the concerned MLA are keeping quit. The Muslims demanded to allot land in Begumpet area. Mr. Saleem Khan President of the committee the MLA and the collector of Hyderabad to allot land immediately.
