New Delhi : Delhi-NCR is on the anvil of witnessing the second phase of the Odd-Even traffic scheme, scheduled to run from April 15 to April 30, 2016. The Delhi Government is taking steps to ensure citizens comply with this scheme and is also making public transport modes like metros and buses run extra trips so that citizens are not inconvenienced. One Touch Response, India’s first on-demand Safety Service 24×7, offers the citizens of Delhi the ideal recourse to be safe and connected as they enter the second phase of Odd-Even scenario.
With more citizens taking public transport during this time, be it a metro, state-run buses, private shuttle services, cabs or car-pooling, there is a higher degree of them being exposed to harassment, sexual assault or situations where they may find their personal safety compromised.
One Touch Response (OTR) is the first of its kind, on-demand service to combine a smartphone safety application (available on Android, Windows and iOS) with state-of-the-art technology, backed by strong on ground physical response assistance across Delhi & NCR. It offers a single point of contact for all emergencies such as road rage situations, stalking, eve-teasing, physical threat, being stranded on the road late at night or being caught in a minor or major accident.
TrackME service from One Touch Response monitors a user as he/she travels through unsafe areas or when travelling at odd hours. Should anything go wrong, with just one touch of the app, the user gets connected immediately to OTR’s Command and Control Centre (C3). In the meanwhile one of the nearest Immediate Assistance Team (IAT’s), stationed strategically around Delhi – NCR, are dispatched to be by the side of the subscribers within minutes.
Immediate on-call assistance is made available within seconds of a user initiating an SOS alert via the OTR mobile app. While the Incident Managers at the OTR Command & Control Centre (C3) are handholding the user during the crisis, OTR’s on ground physical support teams, called Immediate Assistance Teams (IATs), are activated to reach the user within minutes. The IAT’s then remain with the user till the emergency is closed. Further, depending on the nature of the emergency, OTR coordinates with external agencies such as the police, ambulance, medical services, fire, cab services, mechanics etc. on behalf of the user.
OTR IAT’s, are stationed across the Delhi NCR region and they are available to attend, within minutes, to any emergency 24×7. The IAT professionals have undergone an in-depth personal verification and are trained in martial arts, self defense techniques, basic first aid, fire safety, unarmed combat and evacuation techniques on global protocols by Indian and international experts.
“As Delhiites take the requisite actions to prepare for odd-even phase II, we’d like to request them to avail of a service like One Touch Response to maintain their peace of mind by being assured of their personal safety at all time. OTR is the first of its kind safety service to combine a smartphone application with state-of-the-art technology, backed by on-ground physical response assistance. We believe that such a complete offering, that is on the lines of services available in leading markets like the US, Europe and Israel, is the need of the hour, in response to rising safety and security incidences,” said Manoj Chandra, CEO, One Touch Response.
