New Delhi, Sept 4 : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said his government in the state is committed to developing the education sector, and added that ‘Delhi’s education model will be the best in the country’.
“The Government of Delhi is fully committed towards the improvement of education in the state. We will make Delhi’s education model as the best in the country,” said Kejriwal.
“We will try our best so that we can improve the system,” he added.
Kejriwal thanked President Pranab Mukherjee for agreeing to teach the students, saying “Our president agreed within no time.”
“Thank you for the initiative President Mukherjee, you have increased the stature of teachers today,” said Kejriwal.
He further acknowledged that his government is committed to improve the education system in the state and for that, they increased the budget of the education.
“We have doubled the budget. This shows the commitment of this government towards the education,” Kejriwal added.
He also stated that the implementation of English education system has diminished the stature of teachers in the country. (ANI)
