New Delhi : The future of the odd-even vehicle rationing scheme will be decided by the citizens of Delhi in consultation with the MLAs that represent them in the Delhi Assembly, said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday.
Describing the January 1 to 15 odd-even vehicle rationing scheme as a pilot project of his AAP Government, Kejriwal said that the next step would be to hold ‘jan sabhas’ across the city to seek public opinion.
He said every Aam Aadmi Party MLA will organise such meetings in his or her constituency to determine and decide the future course of the road rationing measure.
He said that the people of Delhi will be taken into confidence on the issue.
He was speaking at a pre-Republic Day related function at the Chhatrasal Stadium here.
The Chief Minister unfurled the tri-colour and took Guard of Honour from contingents of Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Service, Civil Defense, NCC, school students which was followed by a cultural programme. (ANI)
