New Delhi, July 15: The Delhi state ranking table tennis tournament 2009 will be held from July 15-19 at community centre, new Rajinder Nagar. Announcing this here, Vinay Chopra, honorary secretary of the District Table Tennis Association (central), organisers of the tournament, said that the tournament had to be held at the community centre due to lack of available venues.
“We have decided to hold the tournament at the community centre due to non-availability of any stadium, since all the venues in the city are being renovated for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games next year,” he said.
Chopra added that 550 entries have been received from interested participants for 14 different events to be held during the tournament.
