New Delhi: The city experienced another blistering day on Sunday under the scorching sun with the maximum temperature settling at 42 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, the Met Office said, forecasting dust storm conditions on Monday.
“The sky would be partly cloudy throughout the day while dust storm or thunder storm is likely towards evening or night,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The IMD also indicated about the possibility of heat wave conditions in the coming days.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Monday are likely to hover around 41 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively, the IMD official said.
The minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average, while the humidity ranged between 14 and 56 percent.
Saturday’s maximum temperature settled at 39.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average.
