New Delhi, March 22: The national capital is reeling under unusual heat conditions with the mercury today reaching a high of 38.6 degree celsius.
Today’s maximum was 0.6 degrees less than yesterday’s when the mercury touched the second highest in the past 60 years for the month of March.
The minimum was recorded at 22 degree celsius.
The Met office predicted no relief for Delhiites tomorrow and said the mercury would oscillate between 21 and 39 degrees.
On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum of 36.1 degrees.
“It was a very very hot day today. I have never experienced such heat in the month of March,” said Ashok Malhotra, a shopkeeper in Connaught Place.
