Delhi rape case: 2nd accused in 4 days’ police custody

The condition of the 5-year-old rape survivor in Delhi is stable and she is still on a semi-solid diet, said doctors treating her at AIIMS. Her fever has subsided and she is more alert and active. S team of psychiatrists are counselling the 5-year old.

“She has had a good breakfast. Her fever has come down. And she is afebrile (not feverish) now. Her colostomy is functioning normally,” Dr DK Sharma, Medical Superintendent of AIIMS, said in a medical bulletin. “The five-year-old female child is recovering as expected. She is active and taking adequate liquids and semi-solid food,” he said.

Meanhwile, the second accused in the case, Pradeep, has been remanded to four days of police custody. He was brought to Delhi from Bihar on Monday. The main accused, Manoj Kumar, is in custody till May 4.
