New Delhi, May 30: Claiming to have solved a blind murder case, police have arrested a person who had lodged a complaint in a murder case for allegedly sodomising and killing the victim.
Mukesh, a resident of Inderpuri in south-west Delhi, was arrested for the offence after he confessed his complicity during sustained interrogation, police alleged.
The accused allegedly had consensual sex with victim Ajay, a resident of same area, on the night of May 27 and it was agreed between them that the former would pay Rs 20 for the act, they said.
A verbal duel ensued between them when the accused refused to pay the agreed amount. The altercation turned ugly as Mukesh lifted a stone and killed the victim by smashing his head, they alleged.
Later, the accused informed the police which became suspicious of his role after scrutinising his statements.
