Delhi: Police arrests snatcher punched by UPSC student

New Delhi: One of the two snatchers who was caught while fleeing the scene was admitted to a nearby hospital after the Public thrashed the accused on the Pusa Road this Thursday.

A 20-year-old woman appearing for UPSC course was on her way to the class in a rickshaw when the two snatchers managed to take her on the bike. She reportedly screamed for help fighting the two snatchers and punched one of them throwing the bike down.

The public caught the accused and thrashed him while the other snatcher fled the scene. The accused was later handed over to the Police.

Two mobile phones were also recovered from the accused. The Police are now looking for another accused who fled the scene, TOI reported.
