Bahadurgarh (Jhajjar), August 04: A Station House Officer (SHO) of Bahadurgarh Traffic Police was arrested by a special team of the Delhi Police on the charge of accepting a bribe of Rs 14,000 from a transporter near Ghevra turn located on the border of Delhi and Haryana here today.
Jhajjar SSP Sourabh Singh placed the SHO Sat Narain Singh under suspension and ordered a departmental inquiry against him.
In his complaint lodged with the Anti-Corruption Branch of Delhi government, transporter Trilok Singh had alleged that Sat Narain Singh had been demanding bribe of Rs 14,000 from him for letting his buses to move upto Bahadurgarh town.
As per the Delhi State transport permit?s rules, the RTV buses are allowed to ply within the jurisdiction of the national capital but most of the buses have illegally been plying up to Bahadugarh after crossing the Delhi border.
