Delhi Muslims organized march to protest oppression of Rohingya Muslims

In New Delhi, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organized a massive rally to protest against the continuing oppression on the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. The leaders of the party submitted a memorandum to the Ambassador of Myanmar in India and the President of India. Mr. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Advocate, Vice-President of SDPI led the protest rally. Mr. Aslam Ahmad, Delhi State president also attended the rally.

The rally started from Tri-Murti and it was proceeding towards Myanmar Embassy but police interrupted the protestors on the way. Mr. Ahmed told that the attocities on Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar has exceeded all the limits. He also told that the barbaric and inhuman endeavour for ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims is being continued for the past few years in Myanmar. The Government of Myanmar has abandoned the citizenship of more than 4 lakh Muslims. Buddhist Monks with the support of the Government of Myanmar have been brutally killing the Muslims including women and children. He demanded the UNO to take immediate steps to resolve the issue. Mr. Aslam Ahmed, addressing the rally in Delhi told that the Rohingya Muslims are being brutally and systematically assassinated for a number of years. They are being pushed into the sea to die without food and water.

It is very pathetic that no country is prepared to give them shelter. He urged the Government of Indian to use its political pressure to refrain Govt. of Myanmar to stop killing the innocent Muslims.
