New Delhi: Miscreants tried to set students ablaze at Madrasa Babul Uloom located at Jafferabad, in the national capital. Anger prevails among locals over the incident. They demanded the arrest of the goons.
As reported by Rashtriya Sahara the school administration told that someone came at the window of the madrasa at 2 am in the night and threw a burning cloth soaked in kerosene on the students. The cloth fell on the leg of a student named Shamsheer. Several burned matchsticks were also thrown on him through the window. The third match stick fell on the cloth soaked in kerosene which flared up the flame. As a result, Shamsheer’s right leg received burns.
The situation created panic among the students. Police was informed. A case was registered. Efforts are on to identify the perpetrators with the help of CCTV camera.
Secretary of the Madrasa Maulana Mohammed Dawood Amini said madrasas do not involve in politics. They teach humanity. Conspiring against the madrasa and torturing students is against humanity and intolerable.
The affected student has been shifted to GTB hospital. Police took custody of the bed and matches and began an investigation.
