Dr. Sreedharan, Metro Man of our country, delivered Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Memorial lecture yesterday at National Police Academy at Shivarampally. The topic of the lecture was “Delhi Metro-A Success Story”. In his lecture, Dr. Sreedharan told that on the success of Delhi Metro Project, other cities are trying to implement it. Dr. Sreedhara has been awarded Padmashree and Padma Vibushan awards by Govt. of India. Director of the Academy, Mr. V.N. Ray welcome the guest Mr. T.K.Vinod Kumar,
Dy. Director highlighted the importance of the memorial lecture. The Director told that Delhi Metro Rail Project is the most successful project of the country. He told that everyday, 22-lakh people travel by metro rail. It saves one lakh tonne fuel each year. The commuters also save 28 minutes in each trip.
