New Delhi: A 36-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at their home in northeast Delhi’s Dilshad Garden. As per the police, Binod Bisht stabbed her almost 35 times on Wednesday morning.
When the couple’s 15-year-old son went to save his mother, Binod allegedly attacked him as well. The boy suffered wounds in his hand. He was admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur Shastri Hospital, whose condition is said to be stable now, HT reported.
Binod suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair, as per the initial investigation by the police. The accused works as a manager in a tent and catering firm. On Wednesday around 5.30am, Binod returned home with a bag in his hand. Soon, the couple entered into an argument over the issue. Their elder son Vineet Bisht was sleeping in the adjacent room while Binod’s brother was in his flat on the same floor. The couple’s younger son, (7), was at his grandparent’s place.
The police said that Binod locked his brother’s flat from outside before attacking his wife. The mother and son were soon rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.
