New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain today held a meeting involving various stakeholders on prevention of dengue.
The meeting at the Delhi Secretariat was attended by senior officers of the government and National Institute of Malaria Research and medical superintendents of various hospitals in the capital among others.
The superintendents were specifically directed to check overhead and underground water tanks within their premises to ensure that there is no mosquito-breeding.
It was decided that domestic breeding checkers will visit every household and make available temephos granules in the form of 5/10 gm pouches where it is not possible to keep water containers empty.
“All establishments including government and private hospitals have been asked to identify a nodal officer to ensure there is no mosquito breeding in their premises,” an official said.
