New Delhi, March 08: The Delhi High Court today dismissed a petition filed by self-styled Godman Shiv Murat Dwivedi seeking a stay on investigation into his alleged running of a multi-crore sex racket here.
Justice S L Bhayana dismissed the petition in which the Godman alias Ichchadhari Sant Swami Bhimanand Ji Maharaj Chitrakoot Wale also sought the transfer of the investigation to the Crime branch for “falsely” arresting him.
The Godman’s counsel submitted that the petitioner was a follower of Sai Baba and runs a small temple in Khanpur and he was falsely implicated in a case registered with the Saket police station adding the police also arrested some girls who were not known to him.
Police, meanwhile, have initiated the process of invoking provisions of stringent MCOCA against the ‘Godman’ who is booked under the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act for allegedly running the sex racket.
