New Delhi, April 05: Upset over the conduct of a lawyer who had allegely cheated a man by assuring him employement to two of his children in a city court, the Delhi High Court today refused to quash an FIR against him despite the plea that both the parties have settled the issue.
Dismissing a petition filed by advocate Naresh Kumar and also complainant Puranmal for quashing of the FIR following their compromise out of court, Justice Ajit Bharihoke said the accused being a lawyer by profession should have more respect to the law but did an offence which is serious in nature.
Also taking note of the fact that the advocate had forged some documents, Justice Bharihoke said Kumar’s alleged involvement in the cheating and forgery case is a serious offence and the court did not feel it appropriate to quash the FIR against him.
