New Delhi: The AAP government will inaugurate 20 new polyclinics will on February 14 to mark its day when it will be completing its one year in office, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said on Friday.
“As many as 20 new polyclinics will be inaugurated on Sunday. We construct 150 polyclinics at various places across the city by the end of this year,” Jain told reporters.
He further said that the new polyclinics will be attached to the nearest government hospitals.
“The doctors of the government hospitals will also provide their services at these poly clinics on shift basis,” he said.
Jain further said that the government would provide medical test facilities like x-ray, ECG and ultrasound at these polyclinics.
He also said that 1,000 mohalla clinics would also be built by the year end.
In November last year, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had inaugurated the city’s first polyclinic in Kanti Nagar area of Gandhi Nagar in east Delhi.
