New Delhi, April 06: The ruling BJP in MCD today alleged that a new bill brought in by the Delhi government entrusting civic services and development works in industrial areas to DSIDC is “unlawful”.
The bill, which was passed by the Delhi Assembly on March 31, is “unlawful and illegal,” it said.
Chairman of MCD’s special committee for implementation of Master Plan for Delhi-2021, Ved Parkash Gupta, said provision of such services is the obligatory function of the MCD and the new bill is in contradiction to the DMC Act, 1957.
Amid vociferous protest by opposition BJP, Delhi Assembly passed the legislation paving the way for handing over maintenance of industrial estates to DSIIDC.
