New Delhi: Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Thursday reserved order on lawyer Gautam Khaitan’s bail application.
Khaitan was arrested under the Black Money Act.
Enforcement Directorate counsel DP Singh opposed the bail plea of Gautam Khaitan and argued “Khaitan is an expert in the laundering of money”.
The development came to light just days after the Delhi High Court sought a reply from Union of India on the plea filed by Khaitan challenging the legality and validity of various acts including the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015.
Khaitan was arrested under the Black Money Act by the Enforcement Directorate on January 26.
