Delhi Court grants bail to Rabri Devi, Tejaswi Yadav

New Delhi: The Delhi Patiala court has granted bail to former Bihar CM Yadav’s wife Mrs Rabri Devi and her son Tejaswi Yadav on Friday .

The court was hearing IRCTC land scam case were the duo have been asked to furnish a personal bond and surety amount of Rs 1 lakh each, Indian Express reported.

While Lalu prasad Yadav, convicted in fodder scam case is currently serving jail time in Ranchi jail, the CBI Court had issued a production warrant against him for October 6.

The ED had previously filed the first chargesheet against RJD chief and former Bihar CM Yadav, his wife and their son, including 13 others in connection with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam.

The agency also mentioned RJD leader and Union minister Prem Chand Gupta, his wife Sarla Gupta and a firm which goes by the name Lara projects in the chargesheet.

Lalu Yadav and the IRTC officials have been accused of allegedly misusing their power and position in granting two railway hotels lease to Ms Sujata Hotel pvt ltd owned by Vijay and Vinay Kochar who in turn transferred 358 decimal of land to Ms Delight Marketing Company Pvt Ltd ( who turns out to be a close associate of Prasad and an RJD MP) at a lesser price compared to the market price.

The ED has accused that Rabri Devi and her son Tejashwi have got their valuable share through share purchase at a nominal price.

The charges leveled against the duo include criminal conspiracy (120-B), cheating (420) under IPC and corruption.
