Delhi Congress to gherao Parliament today

As the budget session is set to begin on Monday, the Delhi Congress is likely to gherao the Parliament House protesting against the rail fare hike and rising prices of essential commodities.

DPCC president Arvinder Singh had earlier said that the protesters will assemble outside the Parliament and launch a “Halla Bol Andolan.”

Meanwhile, the party is protesting against the rail fare hike in Faridabad.

The party had earlier claimed that in the wake of the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the rail fare hike was reduced in the state. However, the same was not applicable in the national capital.

Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Haroon Yusuf had said that it is time that the central government had failed on all fronts.

He added that it is time for the government to deliver on the promise of 30 per cent rebate on the power bills without the subsidy.
