Delhi businessman robbed of Rs.1.5 mn

New Delhi, August 22: Four armed men Saturday barged into a businessman’s house here in broad daylight and stole jewellery worth Rs.1.5 million (Rs.15 lakh), police said.
The robbers forcibly entered Brij Bhushan’s Ashok Vihar residence in northwest Delhi around 2 p.m., a police officer said.

“Four men entered the house – two from the main door and two from other entrance – and at gunpoint asked for the locker keys. They fled with a bag containing jewellery worth Rs.1.5 million and some cash,” the officer added.

“At the time of the incident, Brijbhushan was at home with his wife Santosh, son Prince and daughter-in-law Esha, and a domestic maid,” the officer said.

Brijbhushan owns a surgical equipment factory in Wazirpur area.

“The whole case seems to be very well planned,” the police said.
