New Delhi, Oct. 8 : Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) leader Ashwini Upadhyay on Thursday filed a complaint against Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan at the Parliament Street police station and accused him of sedition.
” Azam Khan is a lawmaker. He is not supposed to break the law. If lawmakers break the law, then it will be very unfortunate for the nation. He not only spoke against the Government of India, but wrote to the United Nations against the Government of India. This, according to Section 124 (A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), amounts sedition,” Ashwini Upadhyay told ANI.
“He also incited two communities. His intention was to create clash between two communities. That’s why I requested the DCP to lodge the complaint against him under Section 124 (A), Section 153 (A), Section 295 (A) and Section 505 of the IPC,” he added. (ANI)
