Delegation of NRI organizations meets AI manager

Jeddah, July 4: A delegation comprising of various NRI organizations and individual personalities on Friday evening met Pravin Mistry, Air India’s manager for the Western Region of Saudi Arabia and explain to him various problems faced by the Indians. The delegation demanded better services and free baggage allowance for Zamzam water through Air India flights.

Social worker Moazzam Ali Ifteqar who is also the president of Gulf Telangana Employees Forum (Jeddah) led the delegation. He is running a campaign demanding free baggage allowance for Zamzam for the past one month.

Organizations of Kerala and Karnataka also supported the demand. Some persons from Utter Pradesh also represented with Air India officials and civil aviation ministry and urged not to charge for carrying Zamzam through Air India flights. It was proposed to inform passengers through SMS regarding delay in flights. They demanded for improved standard of food supplied to the passengers.

According to Moazam Ali Ifteqar, manager Air India responded positively to their demands.
