Delay in the M.Tech/M.Pharmacy counseling due to the lethargic attitude of the State Government

(Siasat News)The result for PGECET 2012, which was held in the month of June, was released on 22, June 2012 but till now no notification is released for the admission in the M.Tech/M.Phartmacy. Over 57,000 students are waiting for the admission.

PGECET student are waiting since last 4 months and GATE student are waiting since March 15 2012 when the result was released, but till now no updates are available on the official website. It is also learnt that when student are contacting PGECET Help line they are repeating the same statement “Notification will be released in one or two weeks” this statement is iterated since August till now.

This delay in the counseling is due to the lethargic attitude of the state government. Some college applied for the approval to start M.Tech courses, but due to the State Government’s lethargic attitude the approval is still pending.
The college approval files which have been gathering dust in the Secretariat for the past six months are now in the office of the deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha, who has to take final approval but he is currently in Europe on a personal visit and is expected back after October 16.

Some College Management also alleged they were being forced by “higher-ups” to pay bribes of `1 lakh per college for approvals.
