The delay caused by various obstructions has set back the metro rail project for three years. The deadline for the completion of the project has been extended by 2 years. As per the program the railway line from Falaknuma to Jubilee Bus Station was to be completed by 2015 but it has now been extended till the end of 2017.
No plan has been prepared for acquiring properties in Falaknuma, Sayed Ali Chabutra, Lal Darwaza, Sultan Shahi, Moghalpura, Kotla Alijah , Mandee Meer Alam and Darushifa areas.
