Adi Kavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Registrar DSVVD Prasad today said the affiliation of Degree Colleges in both East and West Godavari districts to AKNU was now under process and already Andhra University has issued the relevant proceedings affecting the transfer on August one. Addressing a press conference at Rajahmundry today, he said half-a-dozen retired and experienced employees of Andhra University would be joining AKNU shortly to oversee the affiliation process. The AKNU campus is being developed by forming roads, making appropriate land marks for the buildings and monumental structures as a part of its vision. Administratively, a development officer has been appointed to streamline the administration and look after construction work at the site acquired. Four Deans were also appointed to supervise the subjects of affiliation, academics, examinations and student affairs.’ he said.
On starting new courses, the Registrar said courses of study like Physics, Botany, Philosophy, Politics, History and Journalism would be introduced from the next academic year. He claimed that the Vice Chancellor Prof George Victor had taken several measures to develop the AKNU into a conventional university by introducing all kinds of courses with the advice of professors of international repute.
