Hyderabad, April 15: Upset with the party leadership’s decision to cancel the Telangana bus yatra, Telugu Desam MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy has decided to convene a meeting of Telangana TDP leaders here tomorrow.
“I will hold the meeting even if five leaders attend it,” he declared while talking with reporters here.
Nagam was upset with the party cancelling the Telangana bus yatra and the delay to constitute the Telangana Coordination Committee as assured by the party chief. “They (T-leaders) talked about several things. I do not know what happened to those proposals,” an irked Nagam said.
Opposing the party’s decision to dispatch Telangana leaders to Kadapa by-elections, Nagam said that he would not go to the Kadapa campaign.
“The Telugu Desam has 52 MLAs, 11 MLCs and seven MPs from Andhra and Rayalaseema. Such a force is sufficient to campaign for the party in the Kadapa and Pulivendula by-elections. Telangana leaders should focus mainly on the Telangana agitation at a time when the government declared war against the people of the region in the form of GO 177,” he said.
