Slapped with a show-cause notice for “indiscipline”, BJP MLA Khushi Ram Balnatah, who had created a flutter by demanding change in party leadership in Himachal Pradesh, today lashed out at Chief Minister P K Dhumal and
state party chief Satpal Singh Satti.
In a strongly worded statement, Balnath, who is close to Dhumal’s bete noire Shanta Kumar, accused Satti of making
flase and malicious statement against him.
Referring to the comment of Satti that he had won the elections due to efforts of the chief minister, the MLA said
that Dhumal remained party president from 2003 and till 2007 end and the BJP lost all the Lok Sabha, assembly, Shimla
Municiapl Corporation, local bodies and panchayat elections during his tenure.
If Dhumal could win the elections with his charisma, why he failed to ensure victory of BJP candidates for the post
of Mayor and Deputy Mayor in recent elections to Shimla Municipal Corporation,” he questioned.
